I love my Michaud Artichoke box. I think it may become a collection. I have the beehive and apple now, as well. If you happen to have others, please keep me in mind and let me know.

The porcelain is smooth and independent of the decoration, done by the Vignaud artists. The design includes a gold encrusted band around the rim with a herringbone pattern. The gilded accents have a remarkable retention of the finish and the glaze is bright and shiny.
Each piece bears a single maker's mark and an importer's/retailer's mark. The mark below in green indicates the porcelain was manufactured and decorated between 1938 and 1970 by A. Vignaud Freres. The firm was acquired by Bernardaud in 1970.
