This Spoon Rest has a classic shape and is decorated with blue bell flowers and is unique. It's in the pattern that is becoming one of the most popular among Polish Pottery lovers - who appreciate quality when they handle it.

Traditional patterns use greens, blues and earth tones. The Unikat (Signature) patterns we carry have added other accent colors to their very ornate and sophisticated designs.

The decorative motifs are applied with a variety of small stamps and handpainting - often with many hundreds of strokes - each a little different.

They are signed by the artists who decorate them in Poland (see the photo for an example).

Special white clay is used that is soft when moist, but when fired above 1200 degrees Centigrade it becomes as hard as stone and non-porous. This intense firing makes it resistant to chips and breakage. It also allows it to retain heat and have even temperature throughout, making it exceptional for baking and serving.

This pottery is safe for the oven, microwave and dishwasher.

The final glaze results in an ultra smooth finish, enhancing its beauty and enabling ease of cleaning.
