About Wee Forest Folk:
The Wee Forest Folk are created by a small family business based out of Carlisle, Massachusetts. It began when Annette Petersen created her first little critters about 37 years ago out of bread dough. And it is said that the first mice didn’t last very long as they were nibbled by the real thing!

Now, the company has much more sophisticated methods of molding which add strength and durability, but even today it’s fundamentally run by people of the same family. We've met some of the family and they're just “good people!”

Each piece is a casting of an original sculpted by either Annette or her children - Willy and Donna.

Hundreds fall under the spell of these bewitching little mice every day. And with good reason! Meticulous painting brings each one of the sculptures to life. The talented artists who paint them are carefully selected for their delicate hand skills and each little sculpture takes enormous amounts of time and patience to be completed. All of this is evident if you examine the attention to details and the very fine hand painting that every Wee Forest Folk creature exhibits.

The uniqueness of Wee Forest Folk is that only a limited number are created and the family limits the number of stores they sell to. With time, a few of the pieces are also ‘retired’ and they are no longer produced. These become especially exclusive.

But perhaps the best thing about these sculptures is the way these wee little mice touch your heart and bring a smile to anyone’s face.
