This Pineapple Bowl has the rough, bumpy texture of the pineapple skin on the outside and a great smooth, bright yellow color on the smooth inside.

By translating nature's design into clay the Vegetabowl studio is able to invoke an appreciation for everyday items. By casting directly from the actual fruit, Melanie is able to replicate these designs in each bowl.

You know your guests will marvel at side dishes - or even fruit served in this bowl. And, when not in use, it's a great decorative piece as well.

Wayne and I discovered Melanie and Justin McKenney's work in early 2012 and we were captivated by the textures and appearance of each Vegetabowl. We honestly came up with many ways to display and use these bowls.

Please do not use these bowls in your microwave or oven, but cleanup can be done with the dishwasher - although we would recommend cleaning by hand to avoid the potential for damage by the high-heat and rough nature of dishwashers.
