Be the first to get the Brand New 2012 Elves to match your collection of Patience Brewster Dashaway Reindeers.
Artist and Designer Patience Brewster explains how the idea for these elves came to mind:
“I had been thinking about the "prequel" to the poem, The Night Before Christmas, which was the inspiration for my Dash Away Reindeer.
I drew a new Candlelight white ensemble for Santa thinking he would look dramatic next to his red monogramed sleigh. I thought about Santa preparing and placing the toys in his bag and the reindeer getting dressed and harnessed up for the midnight ride. Having harnessed teams of horses in my youth, I know it takes more than one pair of hands. Mrs. Santa wanted to be there.
Who else would be at the North Pole to fasten all the cinches and straps? Elves of course!
I drew each elf keeping his partner Reindeer in mind thinking that the elves would not only be Santa's helpers but also miniature grooms for his or her particular reindeer. This was as much fun as anything I have designed in a long time!”
This Dasher's Wreath Elf is all dressed in light blue with a wreath around his middle. He is ready to help dress up Dasher for his trip around the world.

Patience (her real name that traces all the way back to her 11th great-grandfather) is an artist and illustrator of children’s books and has even authored a few herself. With a degree in printmaking and bookmaking – her career has been varied. She eventually started designing greeting cards for a few companies, but was quite frustrated when she was told that the general public wouldn't “get it” when it came to some of her most interesting work.
However in 2000, Dept. 56 wanted to convert some of those card designs into holiday ornaments. Launched in the same year – Krinkles became an instant success and have remained very desirable ever since. When her contract with Dept. 56 came to an end, Patience launched a new company called simply “Patience Brewster ” and her first ornaments debuted in 2009.
Each ornament and accessory, which becomes a collectible the moment it is issued, bears the artist’s distinctive style – and is stamped: PB along with the year it was produced. They are done in bright, vibrant colors and feature cute whimsical creatures. While Krinkles are also designed for traditional occasions like Christmas or Easter, there are many that you can decorate with all year round.
